Wherever we go and whatever we do in our lives, we bring our personal history with us, or 'baggage' as it sometimes is negatively referred to. But exploring our past can be a hugely rewarding experience. I had the opportunity to do so in the recovery period following my Post Natal Depression - and the payoffs have been amazing!
In this brand new series I have put together, I will lead you through exercises each week that will help you revisit your past and identify key moments and experiences.
But first, here's why you should participate...
"As you become more clear about who you really are, you'll be better able to decide what is best for you - the first time around." Oprah.
...When we acknowledge the past it can set us free and enable us to live more in the moment. It's not only the negative events and feelings that have had an impact on shaping who we are today. The people who loved you, places you grew up, childhood holidays and birthday parties all contribute to how you see the world now.
Learn about where your strengths come from, be inspired to take your life in a different direction.
As I found out, going through the exercises can help put things in to perspective - for the better. What have you got to lose? :-)
Next week I will post Step 1. Simply subscribe or follow this blog and you will receive your first exercise. And remember, if you ever want to share anything, you can do so here.
